As I wrote recently in RUSSIAGATE: The Second 100 Days - Deep State/Media Coup d'etat! the Special Counsel "Investigation" has one purpose: to find impeachable offenses against the President of the United States. The Republican-led House and Senate - in their ever-eager efforts to prove their "bi-partisan" equanimity to the corrupt Establishment Press - will do the rest.
So what is the latest? Reportedly, Mr. Mueller is now investigating Deputy AG Rod Rosentstein, the very person who is supposed to be overseeing the work of the Special Prosecutor. Yes, this is indeed the "theater of the absurd." Welcome to the "Deep (State) Swamp! First Rosenstein formally recommends the firing of former FBI Director James Comey (in a memo to the President); then - in his haste to prove his own "fair and balanced" impartiality - just days later raced to appoint his one-time boss, Robert Mueller (who also just happened to be the mentor of the fired Director) - as the guy heading up the "investigation," in direct contradiction to multiple statutes and Department of Justice regs governing conflicts of interest. No, it doesn't get any more absurd than "all of the above"...but then this is what happens when we are governed by men (and women), and not be law. This, my friends, is what is known simply as corruption!
Make that "and not BY law." BTW, when I wrote that Deputy AG Rosenstein is "supposed to be overseeing the work of the Special Prosecutor," HE is the one whom the Special Prosecutor is allegedly now investigating...hence the reference to "the theater of the absurd."
I will also add that the very concept of a Special Counsel - originally called a "Special Prosecutor" during the Archibald Cox investigation of the Watergate break-in - is an egregious violation of the Constitution and every principle of representative government upon which it is based, given that this person, under whatever title, has potentially unlimited latitude in what he or she can investigate, as well as an unlimited budget and time in which to do it; and while he or she is allegedly "overseen" by the AG (Attorney General), we can see in this instance - as well as in every previous instance (including Ken Starr and the Whitewater Investigation - in which Rosenstein, Mueller, and Comey ALL variously participated, absurdly, once again).
In the current instance, Rosenstein told Martha MacCallum of Fox News that "IF any conflicts WERE to arise," he and his "ethics experts" within the department would look into it - completely ignoring not only the GLARING conflicts reflected in Mueller's appointment, and the gaggle of Clinton-Obama lawyers whom he was already known to have hired - ALL of whom represented MAJOR (textbook) conflicts of interest and violations of every known statute!
