Is anyone besides this writer tired of the Media/Left dictating what is moral and imm
oral to the rest of the country? Since most among their ranks seem to have rejected the Ten Commandments (note the recent attempt of at least one newly-minted Democratic Committee Chairmen to remove “so help you God” from his swearing-in ceremony), they clearly feel the need to replace the Directives from Mt. Sinai with something more in vogue by today's "standards." Let’s have a look.
We can start with the apparent gravest sin of all time: Racism. Aside from the fact that the Left’s fixation on this issue is completely one-sided (only White Conservatives are or can be racist), and accepting what every good and decent human being already knows (except, of course, the deplorable “Trump” supporters with their racially-charged MAGA ball caps) without being bludgeoned with the new revelation, on a daily basis, by the high priests in the Media, this grievous sin now undeni...
When I read the following recently I was struck by the parallel between the Democrats and the Media of our day, and the Pharisees and the Herodians of Christ's day:
1 And he [Christ] entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
So are we getting this? Christ had entered into the synag...
Many will have no doubt read the following quote, attributed to Ben Stein, though its actual origin is in dispute. Like most great quotes, however, it ultimately matters little who originally wrote or spoke it. What does matter is the wisdom reflected therein. So here it is, wherever – or with whomever - it originated:
"Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen."
[Now add this,] "Many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens."
And I will now add this, taken from my online comment in response to the “Stein” quote:
Fathom a News Media [along with the entire Democratic Party and many from the disingenuously-termed “opposition party”] who insist that we must investigate the winning U.S. presidential candidate, for violating an unspecified law or statute, UNTIL the alleged...
[Note: This was just posted in the Forum, under my wife's name (inadvertently), but I wanted it to go out to all of my subscribers, so I am making it a blog post as well.]
I received this in an email from a writer friend yesterday, and immediately made the call. Please do the same, as this is an extremely simple way to have an enormous impact on the national conversation and on the direction of the nation. It is because of the collective action of others like ourselves that Donald Trump is now President...and Hillary Clinton - likely the most corrupt political candidate of all time (and that is saying a lot!) - ISN'T! It turns out that WE were the majority all along...in spite of what the Media would have us believe.
So let's all do this, and pass this along via Facebook and our email lists so millions more will do the same. God will only support us if we stand up for what is right and true!
According to prominent blogger, Jeff Dunetz, Anheuser-Busch has provided a phone line that allows...
In a recent book I related that as an author and political commentator I had come to the conclusion in recent years that the definition of true intelligence is the ability to quickly sum up a situation and draw correct conclusions based on what was of greatest importance. As "rational" beings - unless we are reacting strictly emotionally (rather than rationally), as most of us probably do occasionally - we no doubt have, orgive, what we consider to be sound reasons for our conclusions and our positions. In other words, they are, indeed, based in "logic" or "reason" - but they still may miss the mark entirely.
There is also, of course, in politics, the near-universal practice of defending one's (or one's party's) positions solely on the basis of saving face or "winning" - all the while knowing that one's arguments are fallacious and deceptive - false, in a word. The following from an NBCnews.com article from yesterday, September 27, 2017, entitled "Moore Trounces Trump-Backed C...
So now into the eighth month of the Trump Administration, where do we stand as a nation and as a People? One word would, no doubt, sum it up: divided. While much of the division and strife has been deliberately fanned into flames and financed by those who seek our downfall - George Soros and company - and much of the "outrage" has been feigned and affected by such intellectual heavyweights and societal spokesmen as Madonna and Ashley Judd, the effect is nonetheless real. Many among us have chosen to "kick against the pricks," in the language of scripture - harming primarily themselves, but wreaking havoc on the rest of us, and on society as a whole, in the process. (When we behave badly we rarely affect only ourselves, but typically everyone around us.)
After the first 100 days, the second 100 days, and now 50 of the third 100 days (as of 15 minutes from the time of this writing), we continue to see not only open hostility from the opposition party, but a determined resistance...
